We had a rehearsal at 11:00 a.m. on the day of the wedding, since everyone was traveling from a distance. Memorial Day weekend is the first weekend that the Inn's Boathouse restaurant is open, so when we arrived for our rehearsal we were a bit surprised to find tables and chairs all over the dock where we'd soon be married. But we cleared a space on the dock and went through the ceremony, while people from the Boathouse looked on.
We walked through the complete ceremony once, with Tiffany's uncle standing in as the Justice of the Peace. Our mothers did their readings, Tiffany's brother played his guitar solo, and we practiced our vows. By the end, we all felt more comfortable with the timing and choreography.

After the rehearsal, we had a very nice lunch at the West Street Grill in Litchfield. We stopped to get ice cream on the way back and returned to the Inn around 4:00. By then, it was time for us to start getting ready to be married...
