John plays "Jesu" on guitar |
Our 7:00 p.m. ceremony took place outside, on a dock overlooking Lake Waramaug. We wrote most of the ceremony, which was performed by Justice of the Peace Barbara Reynolds. Our parents stood on the dock with us, and they all had a part -- our mothers did readings and the fathers held the rings and the reading and vows cards. Tiffany's brother John played a guitar solo between readings.

The newlyweds |
Afterwards, there was applause not only from our guests but also from the Boathouse patrons -- it seems we had a few more guests than we were expecting! We walked (briskly!) back to the Inn and paused halfway up the hill, in our euphoric state, and watched everyone below. We then spend a few moments alone in the Inn before greeting our guests at the reception.
